Pigeonhole Secret Sale
Friday, January 25th, 2013Pigeonhole Fifth Birthday
Friday, October 5th, 2012

Five years ago an entrepreneurial young chap named Johann Kim decided to open a small store (with big personality) down the end of Bon Marche Arcade. Lovers of photography, cute and quirky fashions, home wares and jewellery soon fell in love with his treasures, and the Pigeonhole name quickly became synonymous with awesomeness. After much work, not a lot of sleep and plenty of travelling, Johann has created a Pigeonhole empire populated by delightful Pigeons and their faithful, ever-following flock. Tonight the Pigeons celebrated five years of retail domination with a soiree at their pop up store at 140 William, featuring a runway show styled by Hannah McGrath. Big congrats Johann – Perth is lucky to have you!
Circean Smoke for String Magazine
Tuesday, May 22nd, 2012If patience is a virtue then I am virtuous indeed, because I had to wait six long months to publish these snaps on Dropstitch! Late last year I collaborated on a project with fellow All Of The Above creatives Libby Edwards and Rebecca Joanne, creating an ethereal, dream-like shoot for Canada’s String Magazine. String were lovely enough to publish our images in their first ever print edition, which came out a few days ago and is now available online here. Big thanks to Bec Jones from Scene for modeling for us, to Maevana Mitchell for her fantastic behind the scenes video and to Poppy Lissiman, Kirsten from Paper Skye, Nathan at Limedrop and the team at Pigeonhole for lending me their lovely threads.

A little while ago some very creative friends of mine (who also happen to be members of the All Of the Above Creative family) came over to my place on a sun soaked afternoon to make some pretty pastel pictures. Libby Edwards took on photographic duties with Rebecca Joanne on Beauty, while frocks and frippery were provided by Perth’s wonderful and whimsical Peppermint Milk, On A Whim, Little Gracie, Betts, Pigeonhole and Fox & Rabbit. Ashlee T from Scene Model Management posed for us and did a splendid job bringing together all of the different elements. I’m releasing these piccies now in anticipation of the Polka Dot Vintage Market at the Claremont Showgrounds this weekend (Aug 20 & 21), where Peppermint Milk and On A Whim will be selling their divine creations, which are made with vintage fabrics and found materials. Doors are open from 9.30am-4.30pm daily and entry is $6. It’s the biggest vintage market in WA so it’s well worth the visit!
