Apologies for the lack of updates recently – I’ve been flat out putting together the X-Press Fashion Spring Magazine, which hits stands alongside X-Press next Thursday, September 3.
I’ve lived in Mt Lawley nearly all my life and I’ve always loved the Mount Lawley Lawn Bowls Club, so I decided I’d have a stab at trying to convince the President to let me use the grounds for a day… turns out Mr President is a lovely guy, and he said yes without hesitation.
The shoot was lots of fun – members of the Ladies’ Bowling Team came down and taught the models the basics, and during the day, we were constantly offered tea and coffee by the catering committee. The head of the catering committee was a bit annoyed at the President though because (in her own words) “If I’d known there was ten of you coming down, I would have baked scones!”

These look fantastic, the colouring is perfect. Loving those black&white bathers, what does the front look like? Haha you’ve got the cover logo just right too…
i agree, super cute photos!
I’ve always walked past the bowling club and wondered what it would be like to go inside. This shoot rocks! More pictures please!
Looks great Em, beautiful shots, can’t wait to see the full shoot on Thursday.
The images contrast the youth and playfulness of Perth against the old-fashioned nature of the place really well. Maybe it’s just my perspective from coming back to wee little Perth after 2 years away, but regardless it looks awesome, good work! 🙂
