Last night I had the pleasure of attending one of the slickest and best presented student grad shows I’ve ever seen – Curtin University’s Collective Threads. Organisers kicked the traditional runway format to the kurb, opting rather for a really cool, reflective runway surface in a large square shape. Everything about this show was perfect – the lighting, the choreography and especially the designs.  The show was nothing short of inspiring and I think I’ve found my new muse in Celene Bridge! During the show there were times when you simply forgot this was a student presentation – it felt like a high fashion parade! Ah-may-zing! Congratulations to all involved for a stellar job!

Do you happen to know where the stockings are from in picture two?

Last week I had the pleasure of assisting @foxandrabbit_ with a mammoth 10 hour task - assembling two 5m long suspended greenery displays for a Perth Writers Festival event in Nedlands. We stayed at the hall til 1am to finish it and were absolutely exhausted when it was done and dusted. Though the resulting displays were torn down by the council before they could ever be seen by anyone (bureaucracy at its worst), I had a heck of a lot of fun helping Bec, Fliss & Emma assemble them!
