Back in March I had the pleasure of working on a unique photoshoot with some of my favourite West Australian creatives – Pippa McManus (artist), Caitlin Worthington (photographer), Rebecca Const of Fox & Rabbit (florist), Rebecca Collins (makeup artist), Melissa Cook (hair stylist) and the stunning Narcisa Music from Scene Model Management.
Our aim for the collaboration was to create a series of photographs celebrating the beauty of flower crowns that could then be used as inspiration for paintings by Pippa.
Eight months later and In Bloom opened at MANY 6160 in Fremantle, showcasing the resulting photographs and paintings side-by-side. We had a wonderful response to the exhibition and will definitely be back in 2015 with In Bloom volume two.
Big thanks to everyone who came along to check out the show and to our sponsors who made it all possible: MANY 6160, Sirona Capital, Micktrics, Perth Pro Lab, Bunkers and Butcher, Baker, Stylist & Creator.
A few prints of Pippa’s paintings are still available for purchase for anyone who couldn’t make it to the exhibition. Send her an email or drop her a line via her Facebook page to request a catalogue. You can check out more photos from the exhibition by searching for #InBloomPerth on Instagram.
