I woke up at the very undignified hour of 4am this morning to hop a flight for Sydney for my first ever Rosemount Australia Fashion Week. The venue for RAFW is the Overseas Passenger Terminal in Circular Quay, which overlooks the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge – very picturesque!

My first show of the day was Womens’ Ready To Wear, featuring two Perth designers: Carly Hunter and Story By Tang. I absolutely loved Carly’s collection – lots of polka dots and transparent fabrics; and Story By Tang sent lots of fun, flirty dresses down the runway.

Next stop was Zambesi for their solo show; their collection can be summarised as country bumpkin meets city slicker – pin stripes, leather waist coats, wide brimmed hats and a sort of transparent gingham. Final show for the day was Aurelio Costarella, which was an elegant affair indeed and featured stacks of Perth models. Apologies for this very short summary – my wireless connection is costing an arm and a leg so I’m blogging as fast as I can! More to come…
