Zimmermann above and below

I kicked off day 2 of RAFW with the Zimmermann show and it turned out to be a great way to start the day. I haven’t been that keen on previous collections from Zimmermann but they won me over with this morning’s parade, which featured lots of lovely, pastel floral prints with lashings of lilac, pink and electric blue.

Next stop was Women’s Ready To Wear #2 which was very hit and miss. I was particularly perplexed by Leigh Schubert’s decision to send models down the runway clutching spring onions and cabbages… very odd indeed! If anything the greenery just distracted from the garments.

Last show for the day was Flannel which was a very contemporary, minimalist affair. Neutral coloured garments were teamed with really gorgeous green suede brogues – modern with a hint of decades past.

Apologies again for this short post – damn expensive hotel internet charges!
