Nestled amongst various Asian supermarkets & restaurants on William St in Northbridge lies Lala Orange, a gorgeous boutique stocking vintage & designer clothes, knick knacks, photography, art & various fashion accessories. I popped into Lala Orange this morning for a quick chat with co-owner Renee…

Where does the name Lala Orange come from?

It’s actually an 80s character from the show Rainbow Brite; she’s materialistic and French. We just thought it was kind of funny.

Which labels do you stock?

We stock Australian young designer labels (quite a few from Perth): Miyoko, Les Corbeaux, Bim Kenesis & Made in Utopia. For guys we have Castar & Mixing Cultures & from over east we have Secret Squirrel.

Where do you source all of the vintage stock from?

We search Australia wide, we have people who live in Sydney & Melbourne who shop for us. We also go as well, we did a massive trip before we opened the store and stocked up.

Who is your favourite local designer?

Les Corbeaux.

Finish this sentence: Perth fashion is…?

Perth fashion is casual but eclectic.

Lala Orange is definitely worth a visit! You can find them at 411 William St or online:
