When I got the phone call from the lovely folks at Nuffnang asking whether I’d like to judge the Westfield Insider Competition my first response was ‘of course I will!’. Then I found out what the competition entails, and suddenly I didn’t want to judge the competition anymore, I wanted to enter! Unfortunately I’d already committed to judging so instead of entering myself, I’m encouraging you to do just that…

So here’s the rundown – basically, Westfield is on the hunt for a shopper/blogger/stylist to promote seasonal trends and help inspire shoppers to try new things. The Westfield Insider will get paid a whopping $100,000 for a 12 month fixed contract, and during that time they will share the inside word on shopping with the masses.

The Insider will be expected to complete shopping missions, research new products and trends, create content for the Westfield blog and keep the public up to date on sales, new stock arrivals and other promotions. They will be flown around Australia to visit Westfield centres across the nation, spreading the word about seasonal trends and Westfield specials.

As a special treat, Westfield invited me to spend a day as the Westfield Insider and I absolutely loved the experience! I went along to Westfield Innaloo and was given one hour and $200 to put together an outfit that reflects one of the following trends: the maxi dress, the romper, the blazer, coloured denim, nude/pastels, nautical or military. Even though I’m not usually a big maxi dress wearer, once I’d started shopping I fell in love with a beautiful black maxi dress at Just Jeans. Now that I had a dress, I needed some accessories to complete the look and found just what I needed at Diva, Gloss, Spendless Shoes and Dotti.

Before I knew it the hour had flown by but luckily I managed to find all the pieces I needed in time. The day after the challenge my lovely little sister Maddie modelled the items for me – I think you’ll agree that it’s a fantastic full outfit for just $200!

If you like the sound of being the Westfield Insider and think you have the blogging and styling know-how then I urge you to enter the competition – you’d be mad not to! To be in the running for this amazing job all you have to do is head to westfield.com.au and click on the ‘Shop And Tell’ link. Entries are now open and will remain open until October 1. The public will then be invited to vote for their favourite candidate between October 11-31, and the winner will be announced on November 4.
