As an ex-Perth designer/artist, why is perth fashion becoming to be moulded around gothic like fashion design, an no originality in design, again it follows the perth market of continuing copying one another and not offering real fashion design, i know before it was lack of untrained designers but now all graduates are copying previous perth labels that have got some sort of success and vintage wearer images everywhere?? thats not fashion.
Before i left perth to pursue a career in design I thought perth was a unique hybrid of designers but unfortunately were stuck in a mining town that called themselves fashionistas and chic?? definition of chic was lost a mile away. Please dropstitch where is the real fashion coverage of Perth of the actual definition of chic savy and design??
Help to encourage better dress and not second clothes wearers… come on that is not by definition fashion chic!
focus on fashion not pop culture and students….

Dear Bondi Chic,
Those who are illiterate, such as yourself, shouldn’t attempt to express themselves with the written word because it inevitably ends up making no sense (read: your comment above is gobbledeygook, my cat’s syntax is better than yours).
Dropstitch is MY blog, I choose the content and I don’t need to explain my posts to you, nor anyone else. Your ‘observations’ about the WA fashion industry are bullshit, and it sounds like if you had any talent you would have been able to make it here, rather than having to relocate to sydney.
Oh Em, I only just read all of that and I must say, I love you and your rants so very, very much. Thank you for making my evening!
Hehe. Cat’s syntax. Oh my stars.
xx
