Sorry things have been rather quiet here at Dropstitch; my extended absence is due to the impending edition of the Autumn X-Press Fashion Magazine, which goes to the printers tomorrow. What started off as my little baby, approximately 30 pages in length, has now grown up into a fat little toddler, boasting 56 pages of my blood, sweat and tears! Sporting a new logo and (what I think is) an amazing cover image, the magazine features a delightful (if I don’t say so myself) aviation themed womenswear shoot; a preppy menswear shoot; a photographic peek inside the wardrobe of one of Perth’s most stylish musicians; stories on seasonal trends, art, travel, fitness, beauty and WA designers.

Here’s a sneak peek at my favourite images from the womenswear shoot, which was shot on location by Otilee at the stunning Aviation Heritage Museum in Bull Creek. The RAAF volunteers who run the Museum are a hilariously cheeky bunch who spent the day regailing the X-Press Fashion team with tales of love and loss about the planes and the men and women who flew them.

You’ll find this edition of X-Press Fashion on news stands next Thursday, March 18; I hope it provides for happy reading! Those of you not in Perth can check out the magazine online in its entirety at xpressmag.com.au – just register then click to view the electronic edition.

Big thanks to my amazing assistants Hannah McGrath and Rebecca Pattison; Otilee, Lisa Businovski and David Deas; Constance Bowles, Marie Princi and Samantha Enticknap; Head Studio; designer extraordinaire Dwight O’Neil; and lastly to Jacqui Brown – X-Press Fashion’s hard-working account manager who helped make this bumper edition possible!
